The cupping experience was the highlight of my visit.

Kate guided us through how to prepare, smell and taste five different coffees side by side, which was super fascinating and a really great experience.

I was able to compare the different characteristics and hear the variety of opinions of the participants, which was so much fun to experience with an expert.

In addition to the tour and cupping, my wife and I also did the private roasting experience, which was so much fun too.

We chose to go peaberry because…Hawaii.

I’ve never seen a small batch of beans roasted like that.

Overall, Sunshower Farms was a fantastic experience.

From walking through a coffee orchard and learning about how coffee is grown and prepared, to a private cupping on the farm’s back porch with a stunning view down the mountain to the ocean, this could not have been more informative, picturesque or enjoyable.
