Cathead Distillery: A Hidden Gem in Jackson, Mississippi

As I made my way downtown to Cathead Distillery, I couldn’t help but feel a little uneasy.

The bumpy roads made the area seem worse than it actually was.

But as soon as I arrived at the distillery, all my worries vanished.

The benches outside, food truck, and plenty of lights created a welcoming atmosphere.

Upon entering the distillery, I was greeted by friendly staff and purchased a beer while I waited for my tour to begin.

Our tour guide Ashley was extremely knowledgeable about the distillery and walked us through each process the alcohol goes through.

I felt comfortable asking questions, and the intimate tour size made it easy to do so.

After the tour, my husband and I enjoyed a chorizo quesadilla for lunch and purchased a bottle of the Honeysuckle Vodka.

The samples were a nice touch, and it was great to see that there wasn’t a single child at the distillery.

Although they don’t mix and master their own drinks with their alcohol, the wide selection of draft and canned beer made up for it.

The tour is $10 and includes four 1oz pours, due to MS state laws.

The facilities are really nice, and their products are amazing.

I’m not a big vodka drinker, but I couldn’t resist buying the Honeysuckle Vodka on the way home.

Unfortunately, they are not allowed to serve their products outside of the tour tastings also due to MS state laws.

Overall, Cathead Distillery is a great place to hang out for some adult fun.

The decor is awesome, and the staff is welcoming.

I highly recommend adding this attraction to your itinerary while visiting Jackson, Mississippi.
